Yea, well at my age I can’t see much difference between 1080 and 480, so I can tell you what I DON’T need to be spending time and money on - that’s certain.
I can wade through an hour of TV Show in Handbrake, at 480p, in about 6 minutes, leaving me plenty of time to take my medicine, change the oil in the wheelchair and find all 7 pairs of glasses necessary to carry out my daily existence…lol
lol, I feel ya… Thankfully, my eyes haven’t started to give way yet… Though I hear it’s inevitable at some point… I’m damn near 40 though, so… It’s probably just around the corner
When I turned 40 it was like somebody turned off the lights. I recall making fun of Mom when she asked me to thread a needle - and I remember her saying: “laugh it up funny boy… laugh it up.”
Ain’t as funny as it used to be.
I won’t add subs to mp4, am considering only using mkv. And refuse to go 1080p. 720p for now and maybe one day 4k. But I agree tv show are fine at sd!.
Also when I was about 40 one day I could see the pins on a cpu and the next day no way.
