Hide Watched seasons/episodes for partially watched TV shows

So I have a show with say 10 seasons and 200 episodes. Ive watched all but say the most recent 5. I set plex to show only unwatched shows. I so I see shows with unwatched episodes only. However when I then click the show, I see all 10 seasons, and when I select season 10 I see all 20 episodes.

Ideally When I select the show I see one season with 5 episodes unplayed
does that make sense?

I have to ask why you click on shows you are watching rather than using “On Deck” or “Continue watching?”

For TV, except for finding a series to watch, I watch from “On deck” almost exclusively.

Regardless of watched status I want to see all episodes when I click on a series as clicking on a series is, for me, the way I edit, mark watched/unwatched or do other editing functions.

I just find the “Library” section works better for me, Right now I have 100+ shows in some state of partial watched. Depending on my mood I might go back to a show I started 6+ months ago. No recommended AI is going to keep up with me.

As for your use preferences it would be as simple as not using the “Unplayed only” filter that already works at the show level, but is ignored at both the season, and episode levels.

There’s actually an existing suggestion asking to hide watched seasons

I saw that, but it only covers part of what I am looking for. Hiding both viewed seasons and episodes would give a more consistent user experience than what is currently happening
