Hiding / Closing / ReOpening PlexAmp (MacOS)

Similar to this post, I’d like to hide PlexAmp while listening. However, I was hoping to avoid the excruciatingly complex key combo of CMD+h (half joking).

I’ve found the setting for ‘Use System Window Controls’ and was hoping that, like some other MacOS apps, “closing” with the red button would “close” PlexAmp while keeping it active.

What seems to be happening though is that the window closes and the music stops but the application is still “open” as shown in the Menu Bar and Dock.

At this point, there’s no way to re-open the window. I’ve tried selecting the app from the Dock, from the Menu Bar > Window > ‘Bring All To Front’, and using ‘Show All Windows’ from the Dock.

The only way to re-open PlexAmp after clicking the red Close button is to Quit and reopen the app.

So, that part seems a little buggy to me.

Rectangle Pro → Stash …is the way. Absolutely worth the $10 just for stash but it does a lot more other useful stuff too.
