Hello.
I have RasPlex installed on my RPi3 device, works well with plexmediaserver on my HP Microserver platform but i use Behringer MS20 active audio system and when I connect RPi3 to speakers i hear annoying buzz.
Speakers have 24-Bit/192 kHz digital optical input. I find soudcard for RPi3 with SPDiF output
https://botland.com.pl/hifiberry-karty-dzwiekowe-do-raspberry-pi/4872-hifiberry-digi-standard-karta-dzwiekowa-do-raspberry-pi-2ba.html
And now I have a question. I Can use hifiberry for video playback (SPDiF) or only audio playback?
Is my solution removes the buzz?
Regards.
Hi mac.damian@gmail.com, I think you have a ground loop. Very common in the AV world, you could try an optical cable but it also may not as these “loops” can come through any conductive connection. Might be best to simply buy an ISOPod (http://whirlwindusa.com/catalog/black-boxes-effects-and-dis/transformers-isolation-devices/isopod2-isopod2hw) or something with a “ground lift” feature to knock out the buzz…
Thank You!
I try balanced outputs then.
