First off I love the Cloud Sync, it's definitely in it's early stages and needs to workout a lot of bugs but once it matures it will be an impressive feature!!!
But I still think you should allow a "High Availability" option where you can link 2 different Plex Media Servers to sync and then if you happen to be watching a show on the primary server as it goes down or loses connectivity then the redundant server can pick up where it left off! It would also be pretty cool if the Cloud Sync file also had the ability to pick up if you lost the connection to the server! I wouldn't expect it to be completely seamless, but hopefully at least less than a minute to make the switch, & maybe it could pop up a quick message explaining that the server has gone down & it is making the transition to one of the redundant files (whether server B or Cloud Sync).
Just as anything else that starts out in Beta, it could be a relatively simple Beta that gains reliability & features as the Plex community plays around & tests it!
High Availability Sync + Cloud Sync would make an unbeatable & extremely reliable media streaming solution!
There's gotta be others out there who would love High Availability features! So if you like this idea make it known & put some comments below!
Thanks!
