I use Plex across two Google Chromecast with TV and one LG TV.
Say I watch half an episode on one Chromecast and stop and then go to the second Chromecast and open the Plex app fresh (including selecting a user) the home screen doesn’t refresh automatically, I have to switch the a different tab (TV/Movies etc) and then back for it to now show the half watched episode. If I was to finish that episode and then go back to the first Chromecast (again opening the app fresh and selecting the user) it shows where I stopped the episode when I last used the app on this specific Chromecast.

Same here on Google Tv, been going on for a while now…
I’ve found that pressing the back button once while on the home screen will refresh it, but still, when you open the app it should refresh automatically.
