I have a Firestick 4K Max and a Chromecast with Google TV. The devices used to update the recently added with no issues, and now they will only update when you select another library then go back to the Home tab. This happens not only locally but on remote devices as well.
I’ve tried clearing the caches, full uninstall and reinstall. Nothing works except for going into another library then back to the Home tab.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Can confirm the same behaviour using android tv and mobile. Version 9.20.0.
Workaround is to either kill the app or force refresh the home hub by going to an individual library and then back to the home hub again.
I’m wondering why Plex has not said anything or acknowledged about this. Clearly whatever they did in the last update screwed up the Home tab.

I see the thing I just watched in that was removed from Continue Watching not being updated as watched in RA. I’ll make report. Just wanted to confirm this is the type of thing you are referring to.
For me, if I’m watching an episode which is mid season in a show. So I watch S05E04 when it finishes and I return to the home hub the episode I’ve just watched is the one up next, S05E04.
Exiting the app or force refreshing (like I mentioned above) gets the hub to update with the correct next episode, S05E05 in this example.
Basically it’s not refreshing and pulling the updated CW list and most likely the whole home hub tab from the server.
For me, the problem is I’ll add Movies and TV Shows to my server, it will show up on the browser when I check on the server machine. When I check on the streaming devices either locally or remotely, they do not show the newly added videos on the “Home” tab.
The two solutions is to go to the Movies or TV Show library then go back to the “Home” tab in order for Plex to refresh the “Recently Added” …
or
Force quitting Plex on streaming devices then opening it up again.
Same issue here. New videos aren’t added to the Plex Home screen after content is added to the server unless I switch to a different library and then go back to home. I have the most recent Android TV Plex version on CCwGTV. Roku client doesn’t have this issue nor does the web client.
