Home section: “No content”

It took me a while but I turned off all of the extra suggested content items from the Home tab. The issue is now when the app launches it defaults to Home, which has the message “No content”.

I read in another thread here that I needed to favourite the library items I wanted to appear in the home tab, but that doesn’t work.

Am I missing something? The UX around managing the Plex-added content and personal Libraries is a mess. It feels like the app is prioritizing 3rd party, Plex-pushed content. That’s not intended, is it?

Where did you do that?

Yes that is how libraries recommendation rows populated the home screen, based on the server library recommendation management. If you disabled them all for Home then nothing will show up (besides Continue Watching)

I turned everything off on the server, disabling everything in Online Media Sources.

It seems like favoriting stuff is broken, then, because I definitely have them favorited in the UI but nothing shows up on Home.

Are you on Android or iOS? Are you libraries using the modern metadata agents?

iOS - not sure what you mean by modern metadata agents? Where would I check this?

Edit: Ah, I think I know what you’re referring to – in the Libraries Movies settings, making sure that the scanner isn’t set to the legacy option?

Plex Movie and Plex Series are the new modern agents. The legacy ones like TVDB are old. You can edit your library and under the Advanced tab it will show what is selected for the library.

I just disabled all the online media sources my self and the recommendation rows do show up on home screen of iOS and Android.

Can you confirm the version number of the preview app you are running on your iOS device
