Just my opinion.
I think HW Acceleration is just necessary for realtime transcoded streaming, not for background transcoding.
HW Acceleration is used for speed, not for quality. But in the case of background transcoding (optimization and sync), they have to guarantee the quality of transcoded media. That’s why the background transcoding preset exists. In addition, The preset option doesn’t work for HW accelerated transcoding.
So, how about making it possible that turning HW accelration option on for realtime streaming and off for background transcoding separately? or vice versa? or turn the both on and off? I just want some more options for users.
