How Can I Contribute to Plex Media Scanners

I have made a couple of changes to the Series Scanner so it matches some previously unmatched files.

I create a “My Series Scanner” so that it doesn’t get overwritten when I update the server. However, I occasionally need to re-apply the changes so that I can get fixes from the official release.

Is there a way I can contribute my changes to the official release?

My changes fix 2 issues:

  • Top level (not in a directory) date-based video files are not matched e.g. Stephen.Colbert.2017.02.15.Bob.Odenkirk.720p.HDTV.x264-2HD.mkv
  • Some Miniseries do not match e.g. SIX.Part.5.720p.HDTV.x264-FLEET.mkv
