How can I tell Plex Server to transcode DTS to AC3 for LG webOS clients?

LG C2 webOS TV connected to Denon AVR via ARC. It does not support DTS, but the Plex server transcodes DTS to AAC which results in PCM 2.0 on the AVR.

How can I tell the Plex Server to transcode DTS to AC3 instead, for LG webOS clients only?

Back in the days you could set Passthrough to ‘Optical’ and only tick ‘AC3’.

But I’m unsure if that’s an option on LG webOS.

There’s no passthrough option, but there are checkboxes for AC3, E-AC3 and DTS. I do not have DTS checked because it’s not supported by the TV, but not sure why the Plex server transcodes DTS to AAC instead of AC3.

Does this sound like a bug?
