How do I connect a Bluetooth remote...?

Okay. Newbie to Rasplex here, but a pretty moderate user of Plex itself.

I am having THE DARNDEST time connecting my Amazon Fire TV Remote to my RPI3. I can confirm the following:

  1. The Remote is Bluetooth
  2. Rasplex sees he remote when trying to pair
  3. When pairing is complete, the “Connected” status says “Yes”

After the pairing (either through the Pair option or the Trust and Connect option), none of the inputs register. Even though it says connected, nothing. If I try to reboot after pairing, then try to reconnect from Rasplex, it gives me an I/O error…

Can someone Help?

I guess you are missing the keymap so the buttons are interpreted correctly

in rasplex the keymap location its /storage/.plexht/userdata/keymaps

Well, took a stab at that and no dice… Not sure what the issues is. thanks for the tip, though. I went ahead and did that anyway.

yes, you need to check if the keys are interpreted at all by rasplex
sometimes you cant even map them to a button
