How do I enable SSH on Raspberry after installing Rasplex ?

I have newly installed Rasplex on Raspberry 3 and want to enable SSH to correct the Time on Rasplex, turn off the device etc. At the moment when i turn on raspberry its goes straight to Rasplex interface, so how do i get to the console side of raspberry to grant SSH access with putty ? I looked at raspberry SSH windows guide and it didnt mention this.

Also I leave my raspberry on for the most time now since i cant shut it down properly and it got a bit hot after the first 70 hours. Whats the worst that can happen if one just keeps unplugging the power cord ? Only corrupt SD , which i can reinstall or will there be any Hardware damage to Raspberry?

SSH is enabled by default, user is ‘root’, password is ‘rasplex’. It can be turned off through System Settings.

There is no problem with leaving the RPi on 24/7, I have several, some of which have never been powered off for over a year. The power drain on idle is minimal - around 180 milliamperes.

Continually pulling the power cable will sometimes actually destroy the card so that it can’t be written to again.

Well then i will leave it on until installing a power button which is the real hassle. By the way , my timezone is wrong on rasplex … does someone know command line to change timezone on raspberry or rasplex ? ive tried most linux command lines for this to change but it doesnt work on raspberry.

You can change this in Preferences-Appearance-International.
