How do I enable "summaries" of Movies?

Hi!

I’m new to PLEX so my questions might not be find tuned just yet.
Please hang tight! I just hope that this post is in the right place, lol.

The other day, I had PLEX running on a Linux box to my two Roku-3 units.
On the TV (Roku) I was able to see written “summaries” of the movies that I had installed in my Library.

Now, I switched the server to the Windows 10 environment and setup the PLEX server, web client and Roku a bit differently. However, now there aren’t any “summaries” of the Movie displayed before I play them. Seems that there is an online database that these movies and PLEX is pulling data from them.

How do I get this capability back?

TIA!

I would suggest reading the following support article and prioritize your agents accordingly, Local assets last.

Also look at your Library advanced settings via the Library ellipsis (…)

When you set up a Plex Server, (PMS) you create media libraries. Based on the kind of media (movies, tv shows, music, etc) you create media libraries and assign folders to those libraries. Plex Server then scans those libraries and populates/update the libraries with metadata (e.g. summaries, etc).

Have you created libraries on your Windows PMS, add folders, and give the server a chance to “scan” and populate the metadata?

Hi again.

OK, got it. Just have to make a few changes.

Thank you very much!
