is there a way to stop Plex from encoding Audio to AAC ?

I want the ability for the PMS to convert Video but leave the Audio intake (pass-through).

I have a soundbar that doesn’t play AAC at all. if I use the TV and try to pass the Audio its comes out as 2.0. if I connect the file directly to the TV or the Roku the files are played with surround sound and zero issues.

any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Encode to AC3
I have no issues with Roku doing that… Direct Plays.

my files are already in DTS or AC3… if i lower the video quality for whatever reason, Plex just keeps re-encoding to AAC for some stoopid reason. This started sometime last year, was never and issue before.

I have no clue… Mine just works LOL
Maybe a plex type can help answer that for us???
