How do i get Plex to add AVCHD files? Do I need to save future movies in a different format? Thanks!

I used Adobe Premiere Elements to edit dvd video. Movies I saved before work fine in mp4 as I had done transfer from hi8 to dvd on my own. However, my camera broke and I had pro finish the rest. This may have nothing to do with the issue. idk. Maybe I just need to save them in a different format because Plex doesn’t support AVCHD .m2 that I currently used. I have no idea why I switched formats, as too much time between getting the job done transpired. Hope this makes sense!

That would probably be wise:

On the brighter side:

Good ol’ Handbrake can read 'em and turn 'em into something Plex can deal with.

Yes, I love Handbrake. I have a box of dvd home movies to still rip to share and was hoping I wouldnt have to convert the .m2 movies to mp4 as I put those on dropbox already. Oh well. Thank you for your response!
