I saw several forum posts on here that state that the feature is implemented and to use it you have to add a “theme.mp3” file to your movie folder. I have done this to my Pirates of the Caribbean movie folder but no music is played. I have tested it on android, Samsung tv, and the web version.
You need to analyse or refresh the metadata for that film, and ensure you’re using the new Plex Movie agent.
I have both analyzed and refreshed the metadata for the film. I’m not sure what you mean by the new Plex Movie Agent though. The ones that I use are:

Yep, I got that enabled already
Hmm, if that setting is enabled, and you’re using the new Plex agent (you are — the one named “Plex Movie” is the new one), and the theme.mp3 file is in the same folder as the movie, that should be it. I don’t know what else would prevent it.
Longshot: Can you play the theme.mp3 outside of Plex?
Yea the theme file works. I tried it with multiple files. Don’t know why the music doesn’t play in plex.
From my testing, any movie that was initially added with any agent other than “Plex Movie” will not work, regardless of scanning and updating metadata. Any movie that was added after this agent was implemented, and enabled with the required settings, works fine after a rescan.
I have been able to successfully add the theme to movies that were initially added under the legacy or IFD agents require me to move them out of my movie folder to allow Plex to delete the entry and then add it back.
Your mileage may vary, but I was able to reproduce this on multiple movies and libraries.
