So i’ve been playing around with the new windows player and have downloaded some series to my laptop from my plex server (Nvidia Shield).
All is good but I can’t seem to find anywhere that I can delete individual episodes once i’ve watched them?
If I go into the download section and hover over a series I can see the red x to remove but that only works on the entire series, If I click into the series to see the episodes there is no x to delete them indivdually.
You can define what should happen with watched episodes right when you download them.
The trick is to press download on the whole show, not on individual episodes.
You will then get a dialog asking how many and which episodes it shall download
and what is supposed to happen with watched episodes.
I, for instance use
Download “next 3 unwatched episodes”
and
Delete downloaded episodes “after 1 day”.
In the player’s ‘Downloads’ section (left side, at the bottom)
you hover your mouse over the show, then there is a ‘pencil’ icon, left of the red X.
Click on it and set your directives for episode retention.

Wait a minute, you mean there is now no way to do it immediately without deleting the whole series? That seriously sucks! What If I have more than one person using the same device to watch episodes on the road and can’t set it to delete after watched and need to delete them so that when we get to someplace where we have WiFi we can download more. So you can’t change the location for downloads to allow for more room and can’t manually delete episodes to make more room in the current location??? Wow just Wow, hey Plex this is stuff that should have been worked out in the Alpha version!!
