How do you reenable Orange Triangle for Unwatch TV Shows

i used to see what shows i watched in a season and which ones i havent… then a couple updates happened… and there was a bug in Plex when you were cursoring over shows it was unchecking the Triangle making them Watched… when never watched.

so far there hasnt been a fix i still now see all tv shows are marked as watched none of the Orange Corner… this error doesnt happen for Movies i can cursor over them and no unmarking them as i watched it…

is there a setting that was changed in server that caues this so called bug as it was working fine for me till one or 2 updates this year… and hasnt been fixed and i mentioned before but never got a responsoe… but is there a setting you need to check off in server to reenable this

Plex is moving away from the orange triangles. Instead of showing unwatched status, it now shows watched status. So if you see nothing, then it’s unwatched. Partially watched will have an orange progress bar underneath the poster. Watched items will have a full orange bar along the bottom.

Hell no, we want triangles!

@anon18523487 ugh thats horrible way of doing it. you cant quickly see what you watched or not… why mess with something great…

why are they not making it 2 options … Setting 1. Tested and True Orange Trianles so you can flip through episodes really fast… and Setting 2… your new way. why are they forcing things. and not making it an option

so are they ruining Movies too as i flip through the movies really fast too and dont wanna be seeing nothing… i like the Triangle as if your flipping fast its easier to see a triangle… then noticing nothing…

well how do i request that they dont touch it and leave it… and ask for the 2 features then

@pluxology i posted in the Request features to ask not to erase the orange tabs
as i like you like the orange bar partially on the bottom but not fully as you can skim through channels fast looking at bars under neath compared a big triangle

so i left request for there new feature and the old… so we have a choice not be forced to loose something that works very well
its like Windows 8… Windows 7 was good. then MS ruined it with Windows 8 buttons no desktop… and then went back to windows 10. to desktop
so hopefully they do that here or have options… as i cant truly see what shows episodes i watched when i flipping through seasons… i looking for the orange triangle

I went to the Library the other day. The “New books” table was gone, replaced with an “Old books you’ve already read” table. /s

Is that the plan? In the Roku and Apple TV previews, fully watched shows don’t have an orange bar along the bottom. Instead there’s a blue-green checkbox in the top right.

E1: Complete   E2: In progress   E3: Unwatched   E4: Selected

Somehow that Hulu-colored checkbox makes me more frustrated than losing the triangles does.

If watched shows had a complete orange bar, that would make Plex’s display of unwatched/in-progress/watched consistent with Yahoo and Hulu, which might not be my preference, but is pretty reasonable.

Maybe I’m just hung up because it’s a change, because the blue-green checkmarks aren’t as visible, but PROBABLY because it isn’t consistent. I’m struggling with it right now, that’s for sure.

Ah yeah, sorry. The full orange bar was a transition idea. The check mark is for “watched” items.

Thanks for clarifying!

Why not have watched episodes disappear if only show Unwatched is enabled? The same way it works for movies and TV shows.
I don’t understand the effort to make watched episodes stand out in the menu.
