Add an “unwatched” indicator icon to posters so users can easily identify unwatched videos.
This was literally just removed.

Yes, I have not having the episode count displayed. I used it for many reasons. Sometimes I like letting a few build up, etc.

Not that it will likely make one blind bit of difference but I’ve removed a vote from another feature I really wanted in favour of this.
Changing to a watched indicator is just stupid and something I’ll just never like. If plex want this as an option then add it but don’t just remove the existing unwatched indicator.

I would ask for a toggle to have it exactly the way it was or removed for the way it is now. I get that many who use something like Kometa want the real estate for overlays, but my Mom has voted very loudly to me that she wants the upper right orange unwatched icon back!

Call me old or whatever, but that little white on black checkmark is hard to read from across the room. Plus, I think there is an identical series number in there? Why in the world would you change something to make it harder to see? Please bring back the triangle.

I understand that it didn’t work well/was broken before, but restarting the app was an acceptable workaround.
Not being able to see the number of unwatched episodes is breaking the UI experience completely. Please roll the change back!!

Just give us the option. Boom. Solved for every person. Instead you changed the indicator and only gave us an option to remove it completely. So just screw everyone who liked it the way it was before, eh?

i think that’s the idea. I agree with whoever said it earlier, this change is probably
to align unwatched/watched between the plex streaming service and local content. all the streaming services mark items as watched so Plex is forcing the same with local content. Then they will be more free to inject their streaming crap that none of us long time users want.

I have used Plex for over 10 years now and not ONCE have I bothered to come to the forums to check/vote on an update. Nothing has ever bothered me the way this being taken away has. Not only does it make “unwatched” content harder to find because those stupid check marks/episode counters are semi-transparent and blend into the poster making them harder to see and rather useless. It also makes it much harder (if you are like me and use this for filtering kids content) for young children who have not started preschool yet, find new content. Please bring the yellow triangles back.
