I have my own server as well as access to 2 of my friends’s servers. Is there any way to search across all of them at the same time? For instance, I want to access xyz title. I type in xyz and it shows me the results of xyz from each server so I can choose which to play. Thank you.
In the plex/web interface go to Setting -> Web -> Search and make sure Search Shared Libraries is selected.
Global Search
You can initiate a global search from the Dashboard. This will search all Libraries on your local network. It will also include Shared Libraries or Channels if you have enabled searching for those.
- Open Plex Web App
- Click inside the Search bar at the top of the screen
- Type the search term

Thank you, just what I needed, not sure why I failed to see it before.
Im running web client Version 3.104.1 and cannot search across multiple servers. The current documentation suggests a drop down should be available, but I dont see this either. I have two other servers i am connected to and have to manually switch between them to search the content in each. I’ve scrubbed the options and do not see anything there either.
