I think it would be great if there was an option to merge libraries and/or servers or at least have the search function to cover them all.
For instance, me and a couple of friends all run Plex Media Server and share our libraries with each other. However it’s not possible to make a cross-server search or to browse them seamlessly. You need to go to settings and change server and then browse or do a search for each. It would be fantastic if Plex could enable us to access each our shares as if it was one big share.
The search functions ‘across servers’ already. You can use it in the web app, for instance.
If it doesn’t work in a particular app, please report this as a bug in the appropriate forum.
Search first if the request has already been posted before. The goal is to collect the votes for a particular feature in one thread - not to scatter them around.
