How do you submit bug reports? (something really odd with latest Plex Pass PMS transcoding).

I’ve been having a lot of issues streaming from a remote server…its located in an OVH data center with a Premium bandwidth 1gbit up/down connection. I’ve isolated it to the latest plex pass version. I wrote scripts to quickly uninstall and install both the Plex Pass and the public versions so I’ve been able to isolate the issue to the Plex Pass version and not network, disk, server(64GB RAM, Raid 0 disk that can read/write at 430MB/s with a Xeon Processor). I can swap the versions in a couple of minutes and thats the only thing that changes in the setup. The media is on a local disk and I have 1 movie that I use for testing. It’s pretty obvious that its the Plex Pass version having issues transcoding.

Yes, I can generate logs of both of them and I was going to when I submit the bug report.

Thank you!

The best way to report an issue is here in the forums.

Describe the bug and, if appropriate, how to reproduce it.

Have the log files for where it works as well as the log files for where it does not. It is best to have PMS logging set to ‘Debug’ not ‘Verbose’.
If you believe the issue is with the transcoder, include the Media Info as PMS sees it for the video file in question. If you can obtain the media info as ffmpeg sees it as well, this also helps.

When you have everything, you can attach the zip files of your logs and your other documents here with your post (the document icon at the top of the reply pane).

In the event a sample of the video is requested, have it handy and a means to either attach (if a small sample will do) or a link to where it can be downloaded from.
