How many album artist can i add?

Hi, can i add, for example, 2 album artist? How can i divide them?

One per album artist.

Plex uses ALBUM ARTIST tag.

If you happen to add more than one artist like David Guetta and Sia as the ALBUM ARTIST tag, it will show up in Plex as a totally separate entry and not linked directly to David Guetta, unless you change the tag to strictly David Guetta.

Plex currently does not offer a good solution to tag and identify multiple artists on albums.

No. Artist tag can include how many artists you like.

Can i divide Artists with “;” or “,”? Is it correct?

The Artist tag can have multiple entries, but in MP3 files only the first will actually be seen by Plex. This has to do with a bug in ffmpeg which is not yet fixed. I would continue using multiple Artists, but be aware you may not see the fruits of your labor for a while… Or maybe never.

How you separate the values in a tag depends on your tagging software. In mp3tag, the default separator is \\.

It’s really too bad about the Album Artist not supporting multiple values. (I think Genre is the same way?) I just make do with one Album Artist and hope that eventually there will be better support for multiple artists per track.

So, i seems is indifferent how can i separe the artist in ARTIST tag…
