Can album/single be shared between two or more artists?

Hi everyone!
Recently I’m reorganizing my music library and found multiple albums and singles that are equally shared between two or more artists. Unfortunately, plex server treat an album artist tag in the format “Artist1, Artist2” as a new unique artist distinguished from “Artist1” and “Artist2”.
In my eyes, the ultimate solution is if an item includes an album artist tag in the preceding format it should be included for both artists. I found this discussion from 3 years ago. It was claimed the such thing in not yet implemented in plex server. My question is whether there was any progress towards solving this issue since then?
