How to add movies on usb sticks to library

I have my movies on a USB stick, but I can’t find how to add them as a library. The only option I get is to add folders from the main drive. The USB drive and folder copied from the drive properties are “/media/peter/B0A2-29D5/Movies”, but when I insert this or any part in the Add Folder box then click on add the screen returns to adding folders from the main drive.
Is it possible to add folders from a USB stick and if so how

Sounds like a permission issue. With a removable device this might be a bit trickier but the general rules should still fully apply:

Thanks, I managed to sort it out after many hours of trying, but it wasn’t a problem with permissions. It was a problem with no proper instructions for adding folders from pen drives in Linux. I never had problems when I used windows, so I can only assume its Linux thats the problem. As for all the code you sent, very reminiscent of MS dos and i’m really glad that’s all behind us. Zorin seems to be getting ahead of the others with being able to load programs without all the code for which I am most grateful. While I seem to remember problem with permissions in my previous delving into linux over many years, I have found no problems so far this time.
