How to alphabetize library as default

After rebuilding my PMS due to a disk failure, I re-added the movie and tv folders back to my library. The only problem is, I did not add them in alphabetical order and consequently when I load the client on the TVs, the libraries show in the order I had re-added them to the server.

I know I can manually reorder the items, but everytime the client is reset on the TV, or login from a different local user, I have to start the process all over again. I have 76 libraries, 5 TVs, 5 local users. That’s too much work!

The other thing I do not want to do is to remove then add the libraries and have to re-scan the libraries.

Is there any way to easily reorganize the default order of the libraries?

Regards,

Brad

have the same problem, i hope someone can offer solution, i have a large library too 100+(series)

If the libraries are pinned they will appear in your sidebar. Once in the sidebar you can use the reorder function on each library.

This is also a known issue with at least one discussion thread about it.

@pandas,

Thank you for your comments. I did see a similar thread, but it appeared to be dead.

As I’ve stated in my original post, I understand we can reorder, but that’s just a pain-in-the-rear. This means I could need to move things around 1,520 times (76 libraries x 5 TVs x 4 local accounts).

Do you know a bug number?

Thanks @TeknoJunky. This patch fixed this issue. I did provide some comments regarding this new feature as well. I hope they decided to have an enable/disable mechanism.
