Unable to alphabetize Plex Libraries on Desktop Server

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3830
Player Version#:

I am trying to reorder my libraries into alphabetical order on the server end. I am able to reorder them on the roku apps without any trouble, but am unable to figure out how to put the libraries in alphabetical order. This makes it difficult to work on individual libraries, when I am unable to outright find them.

I was referring to reordering things under the settings side of things. I want to reorder the libraries into alphabetical order, where I normally create the libraries in the first place. I am referring to the area under settings–>Manage Libraries That list of libraries created are all out of order and I need them in order.

Thank you in advance!

After adding your Libraries, you need to pin them and then reorder by dragging them

This works, yes. But I was referring to reordering things under the settings side of things. Thanks ahead of time!

In the unpinned area , I’m gathering. Why is that important to you?

Not being offensive but seems a bit OCD :slightly_smiling_face:

I found myself trying to create libraries that were already created. If my stuff was in alphabetical order, then I would not have wasted that time. Perhaps a bit OCD on the surface, but it is a real problem for me.

I appreciate the help.

I have my storage files alphabetical, so when adding to Plex I don’t seem to stuff it up. But I do have the left menu expanded at the time via hamburger menu ≡

I think @waynearick2_gmail_com is referring to the Settings screen, Manage > Libraries

That part can’t be rearranged but you can manage libraries from the main screen just as easily.
If you want to see sll libraries, pin all of them and arrange them as you like.

Already on the page, but thanks Dan. Good looking Pup there…

Thanks. Nice cat, way more intimidating than my dog.:slightly_smiling_face:

I too would like to raise this as an issue. It makes very little sense to not be able to organize the libraries within your server. We once had this functionality, it’s puzzling why it would be removed.

Forgive me, but “why would you want that” doesn’t feel like a great reason to subtract features.

Easy because if there out of order there they will be out of order on user side. especially on a new sign in to the server
