How to change the basic array of Plex contact

I had a HDD “John1” attached to my desktop. I could access this with my WDTV from my living room. WDTV went the way of the DODO. Now have an android box which I couldn’t get to read the TV from a remote part of my home network. I moved the “John1” upstairs to the android box. Android box picked it up fine. I wanted to manage this through plex.

All the information from the desktop is still present on Plex. It would be nice if I could hang onto the photos from my desktop but somehow I have to get Plex (now downloaded to John1" to see the attached HDD drive from the android., then, use the android box as my connection to the desktop. What to do?

Can you see the HD on your network?
Map it to your Plex server PC.
If I understand your question.
If the drive was drive E: on your PC when it was attached by USB, map it to drive E: and Plex should see the media in the ssme location.
