How to copy just the Watched/Unwatched history to a new server?

Server Version#: 1.19.1.2645
Player Version#: N/A

I’m moving to a new server with a different directory layout. I would like to preserve the watched/unwatched lists for all of the users.

I’ve seen some directions that say to just copy all of the server settings, but I’d rather start fresh with the rest of the data.

This will eliminate alot of options. Not sure if there is anything for that… Watch status/history is stored in the db.

You could try one of the trakt sync scripts. Your mileage may vary on consistent export/import.

You should keep a backup copy of the plex db regardless, so you can restore if you change your mind.

But you could also just copy the whole SQLite file over.

I stand corrected. What a fantastic idea.

Would this work If have it running on a Synology server to Unraid running Plex in a Docker? I am very new to running Unraid and using Docker

Sorry, I have no idea about Unraid, nor Docker.
But there are always ways to access the file system directly.

Hello,

I just migrated my Plex server to a new OS drive, same hardware otherwise. I went from Windows server 2016 to 2019. I followed the instructions on the Plex site, and everything seems to have migrated except for my watch history. I saw these instructions, but they are lacking a little detail for me to follow. The commands aren’t native to Windows, are they to be ran from SQLite, and if so, I went to the download page, but am unclear on how or which thing to install. My watch history is the one thing most important that I get migrated, as I have far too many movies and shows to go back and mark manually.
