I can’t seem to get Plex to do this. I can only get

Hello,

There are no sub-albums supported. What you can do is an album comprised of several ‘discs’.
But they cannot be named individually. Just numbered.
I didn’t do anything special. I always have my music directories structured like this:
d:\music\artist\album
When I installed Plex and added my music directory to the music library, it scanned and organized my music. When I click on an artist in the artist view, all albums are listed for that artist.
Thank you, looks like I’ll have to compromise as OttoKerner suggested.
I too have my music structured Music /Artist /Album for the vast majority of my music. However I will need to find a solution for one of my Audio collections which has an Album that has bi-annual lectures. Ill find a way. Sub-directories was the ideal way.
Thanks all.

I recommend you to use a separate library for non-music audio content.
Be it lectures or audio books etc.
You also don’t really want to create this library as a ‘Premium Music’ library. Go with the default ‘last.fm’ type.
