How to export specific movie poster and art?

I have exported all my movie posters and art using Webtools-NG and have placed those exports in the actual movies directories. I’m doing this to have a sort of backup for them (so I don’t have to go through the process of reselecting them if my Plex DB is complete lost for some reason).

Now I’m seeing a problem as to when I add new movies to my library. How do I export those specific new movie posters and art? Webtools-NG doesn’t appear to have a way to say export all the new movies.

Hmm, seems I figured it out. Had to go into XML and then copy the URLs to the proper place in the address bar’s existing URL for the XML page.

Interesting.

EDIT: there has to be a better way of doing this, no?

There’s a 3rd. Party tool that might help here

Thanks for the reply, and I did use WebTools-NG to get the initial dump of posters (that was a two day process: export and then move posters to actual folders; delay caused because of some renaming).

However, after you do that first dump, there is no way to do partial dumps of posters for movies that you add AFTER that initial poster dump.

I’m starting to look into Tautulli for a possible solution as well.

You are correct, that the export is all or nothing, sorry

No problem, thanks.

It appears Tautulli might be the solution. At least I can order movies by date added. Now I just need to find the best way to export the posters and art to make it easiest to copy to the actual movie folders.

WebTools-NG can also export the added date as part of a custom field
