Server Version#: Plex Media Server for Windows 1.23.0.4497-a1b1f3c10
Player Version#:
For the purpose of housekeeping/maintaining metadata. How can I filter/search for records that have no data?
For example, looking for movies with no Genre OR looking for tv series with no content rating.
I believe this functionality existed in prior versions.
Goto any media library for Movies or TV shows
Select the ALL for filtering or goto the Advanced Filters function.
Select any available filterable data element; e.g. Genre or Country. The drop-down will display all the data available for that data element.
How can you enter a blank/null value to find all records with no data?
OR
In Advance Filters, select Genre, how can you submit filter to find records with missing data?
Functionality should allow for the following:
[Genre] [IS] [leave-blank] would display all records missing Genre
or
[Genre] [IS NOT] [leave-blank] would display all records with genre.
Same for rating contents when there is no value, the “NONE” expression works in normal filters but not in advanced filters. Just add a void field like “” in the advanced filters, please.
that’s a bad example as you can already filter by Unrated (filter by rating Is and select the Not rated option – this is available for the regular rating filter as well as advanced filtering)
Otherwise there’s an actual feature suggestion you can vote for.
