Music Library - filtering empty/null metadata

Is there a way to filter artists/albums/tracks that do not have metadata for Style/Mood/Genre etc? I’ve tried creating a filter and terms like “null” or “empty” or “0” do not work.

I’d like to fill in some gaps so I can use the style/mood/genre features of plexamp.

side question: I’ve used the track “mood” to tag some tracks with additional metadata (like “live music”, “christmas music”, “cover”). If I refresh the metadata would it wipe out any custom added moods?

I don’t know the answer to your main question, but the side question:

In theory, if the lock icon is orange, a metadata refresh should not make any changes to the field. I say “in theory” because there have been reports of the lock not working. A fix was announced a few years ago, but a few have reported the problem still exists in some cases, and I don’t know if those issues have been addressed. But that’s the advertised purpose.

It’s kind of dumb, just filtering is not everything will work to find empty fields.

I would do this through the API instead of through the UI so I can automate it.

Is there some kind of API? Googling around all I see if a bunch of third party stuff.
