How to have slideshow show pictures in Date Taken order

I have all my photos in separate folders for each trip taken. When I show a slideshow I want to go to a folder and run the slideshow for all photos in the folder. However, the order of the photos is not in Date Taken order but it appears to be in some other order. How can I have the photos appear in the slideshow in Date Taken order?

I’m sure that this used to work properly. But now photos are being sorted in “Date Modified” order rather than “Date Taken”.

PMS 1.12.3.4947 running on Windows 10.
