For instance, the first season of I Dream of Jeannie aired in Black and White, and later released a colorized version. I would like to have both versions of that season available within the same series container. OR when using the ‘Play Version…’ feature, any way to discern them other than bit rate and resolution?

One idea I would like to see in the intern is displaying the filename in “Play Version”… Something like this…
There is alot of talk about such a feature specially for movies but I can’t see why it can’t be expanded to shows aswell,
Obviously it would be more difficult to implement on shows cause auto-playing the next episode. There would have to be a great deal of logic behind auto-selecting the next episode cause just because the next episode is in the same folder doesn’t mean the user wants to see that version. Perhaps the user wants to watch the next episode in B&W. Plex will never know the thoughts of the user, so… Much programming and logic will need to be added.
you could leverage the ‘extras’ but not sure how well that would work duplicating entire seasons worth of episodes.
you would need to install the 3rd party tv extras agent (I’ve never used it myself)
