How to look at photos on A TV?

Hi,

Bit of a random question, but if you can no longer look at photos in the new app. What is the plan / strategy to allow users to view thier photo library on a TV??

I have a number of ROKUs and a nvidia shield. We look at family photos a lot and I upload photos from our trips and share these with family member so they can see the picture on their TV.

How are they going to be able to do this (on a TV) going forwards ?

Use the Computers app on Apple tv and use home sharing or use Emby for photos

Yeah, that’s not a strategy or a plan.

We don’t have Apple TV for a start and I’m not going to retrain 3 70+ year olds how to use Emby or how to cast or any other different solution that what has worked for the last X number of years. I value my sanity.

There will currently be no way to view photos, listen to music, or watch music videos on TVs once the new experience rolls out. McWanke says it is something they are discussing internally.
