I’ve been delaying upgrading to the new Plex TV and Movie agents because I’ve been able to both check and edit TheTVDB entries. Here are two questions:
(1) How can I look up via the web a movie or tv series in the new Plex agent before adding it to my Plex library?
(2) If I find errors or omissions in the Plex agent(s) DB, how do I edit / fix / add information in that DB?
I have this question as well. I stupidly did the upgrade without testing first and I have one of my favorite shows unable to match correctly. It was correct with TVDB but is not available as an option in Fix Match. How do I go about getting it fixed (or fixing all 20 seasons myself)?
Our data still comes from TVDB, TMDB and IMDB. If you find an issue you can make edits there, these changes will take a bit longer to propagate to our servers due to caching but it’s usually not longer than 48 hours from the change until you can refresh the metadata on your side and see the changes.
While it’s nice to know that you use multiple sources for the Plex TV show DB, I’m asking: Please tell me how I can look up that Plex TV DB for a show via a web interface ahead of time so that I can know if it’ll be right or not. I really don’t want to just add an episode and wait to see if in Plex it shows up correctly or not. I’d like to “fix” those problems before adding an episode to my Plex Server.
AND… since you’re using multiple other sources, which has priority – it’s not at all uncommon for each of these sources to have different information (e.g. some are S2021, others are S04, or some of those sources have episodes that the other sources do not).
