How to move content from an old Plexserver to a new without loosing subtitels?

old Server Version#: Version 4.57.4 new server version: Version 1.31.0.6654

I have made a new plex server and whant to move all content to the new server.
But i have manualy added subtitles to about 1000+ movies and i dont whant to do that again.
Is there a way for me to do that?

I’m not sure how you manually added subtitles…
Usually the procedure to move a setup to a new environment should cover all this.

Fantastic, this is what i have been searching for.
But could not find.
I will do this on thursday when my new disk arrives.
My subtitles are added in Swedish on each film or episode.
Either by search or manualy putting a .srt file next to the film-file.
So who next plays it get subtitles directly.

Thank you!

In this case, the subtitle is stored inside of the Plex data folder.
You’d need to transfer the whole data folder to the new drive.

This is much less frail. Plex will happily use these “side-car” subtitles, if they follow the naming conventions – even if you had to rebuild the library. https://support.plex.tv/articles/200471133-adding-local-subtitles-to-your-media/
Therefore I recommend to prefer this approach whenever possible.
