How to name subtitle file to know its language

I know that naming the subtitle file as movies.eng.srt then Plex will know it is a english language subtitles, but how to name the file so that plex can know it is Chinese Traditional or simplified? I tried .cht but it read unknown

In principle zh.srt should work

Actually I recommend to use the 3-letter codes from the ISO 639-2/B list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes
Because these are identical to those used inside the MKV container.

So how if the subs is a combination of english and chinese, can we still name the subtitles files to let plex know that it is chinese and english combination subs?

Plex only knows one-language subs.
