Does anyone know how to permanently disable “Plex Relay”? I have renamed the “Plex Relay” executable in the install folder but whenever there is a Plex update, Plex Relay gets reinstalled. I’d like to be in full control of who’s playing media off my server via my firewall policy rules and not have Plex go around the rules. Any help you could provide would be much appreciate. Plex: note too you: please allow option in GUI to disable Plex Relay functionality for those of us who like to be in charge of our LAN to WAN traffic.
I don’t see the point.
Only users with whom you have shared your library can use Plex Relay anyway.
Plex relay is disabled if you either
disable ‘remote access’
or disable Secure Connections.
find the known_hosts file in the profile of your plex user, empty it, set it to read only, restart plex. I am not in front of my server right now, so that will have to be close enough.

Trust only goes so far.

Are you referring to relayHostKey.txt?
Is this for “all” PMS or a particular operating system?
@NewPlaza - yep, that’s the one. I haven’t tested on any others, but definitely works on Windows, or at least it did last time I tested.

One good point: you cannot block IPs while “using” Plex Relay.
Remove the Plex Relay.exe / Plex Relay file after each update

I think the OP is trying to find a more permanent/less interactive solution.
You can create a contab on linux to remove the file every X minutes, after an update, it will be automaticly deleted
It’s not possible to disable it from the Plex configuation
