This 20 second countdown timer has to go. How do I remove it so the next episode just simply plays. There is NO reason to force people to sit and stare at the screen for an entire 20 seconds when watching shows. I’m not excepting the typical response of just hit the play button or next. This is a lousy feature. Please fix it or allow users to configure it. I’ve been asking this question for years and as it so happens, the clowns at PLEX, instead of answering the question or actually fixing it, decided to bumped the timer up to 20 seconds from 15 seconds. Seriously guys? That’s a douche move.
Or would receiving a full refund on my life-time subscription be an easier solution?
I mean, seriously, if you are going to get that bent out of shape over a feature like this you should just ask for a refund. Go here and fill out the form: https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=plex-pass-billing.

You actually think my attitude about asking the same question to PLEX moderators for three years and never getting a response isn’t justified? Or getting even more pissed about how the perception is that for some reason they just upped the count time for no good reason after my latest complaint?
The direct answer to your question: no, currently it’s not possible to completely bypass the countdown (you at least need to click enter which will start the next episode).
Consider it an opportunity to decide if you actually want to continue with the next opportunity, take a bio break or go to bed…
In your earlier posts you got some constructive feedback incl. the hint to raise this as a feature request (or find an existing one and upvote it). From that point of view… yes, I feel your attitude is getting a little overboard (and I mean this in the least offensive way possible).

Considering there is a request section (whether or not Plex actually listens to that is irrelevant for this argument) and that is how requests should be submitted. Also the fact that it’s literally a button press to skip the time and only 20 seconds. Netflix has 15 seconds (5 seconds is really not that big a deal), especially to be calling it a “douche move.”
Besides, ultimately my first response was giving you a way to try and get what you mentioned in your second post.

I would greatly appreciate being able to change the countdown value, personally I would set it at 5 seconds. Every time an episode ends I find myself torn between waiting 20 seconds + an extra 2 loading seconds for the next episode to start or reach for the media keyboard.
Yes it is a FIRST WORLD PROBLEM, no one can argue with that. However, there is no reason not to polish features and improve that which makes the overall experience better. Peace.
Using Plex to play lots of small 3 minute videos in a playlist (Music videos) and the countdown timer is painful! There should be an option to turn it off in all clients!
