the countdown before the next video starts sure has a purpose, but it would be nice to have an option in plex player settings to turn it off.
Im not sure why its needed in the first place, if i dont want to watch the next episode then I can just stop it either in the previous credits or as it starts but as with most everything, options are always better. Put a setting somewhere so we can choose how long the countdown is or turn it off.

Agreed. Should be able to turn off the countdown.
We use Plex mainly for kids videos, most of which are very short… try explaing to a 2yr old why they always need to just wait for the next song to play

omg yes i don’t understand how come not many people are complaining about this, i’m using desktop version on pc, when watching a tv show i always have to stand up, go to my computer and click play after every episode it’s either that or wait 10 seconds every time… i know it’s only 10 seconds, but why not just give us the option to turn it off…

I figured by now this would have been added a long time ago…
It’s very irritating when you watch tons of short clips (Music Videos).
This has been requested for years now and obviously won’t be added so does
anyone know of software (like) Plex that has this ability to turn off the timer or not one at all?

I’m sure for most people, this isnt much of an issue. If it was just my wife and I watching, I can easily just hit “next” and not wait for the countdown.
HOWEVER, I have 3 little girls below the age of 4…and they dont know how to use the remote (and not sure I want them too try just yet).
Just give me an admin option to change this per profile (ie, for the my “Kids” profile), so I can at least reduce the timer to 2 seconds. By the time it hits 10 seconds, my little’s are already up the stairs waking me back up at 7am because the movie “stopped”. (mind you, it’s around 5 seconds on netflix. However the timer starts at the beginning of credits, so there’s still content playing when the next episode starts)
This is my number 1 gripe with plex.
