I’m not really sure what the problem is, but anytime I click on “Setup Plex DVR” under settings the Plex app looks for a network DVR. I’m using the Plex approved Xbox One USB TV tuner, it obviously does not have an IP address. How is this supposed to work? Any help would be great.
I searched the forms and found nothing, maybe I missed it? As a side note I tried installing
Sichbo PVR and I was able to get live tv so I know the TV tuner and drivers are installed and working.
What operating system are you using? The USB device needs to be plugged physically into the computer running Plex Media Server. Also if Windows, Plex likes exclusive access to the tuner so there should not be any other DVR software installed.
Windows 10, It is plugged into the PC that the Plex server is running on. I installed the other software after I could not get Plex to work. Plex is clearly looking for some kind of networked DVR, but their site says it should work with the tuner I have. I just dont even know how its supposed to work if the App is ONLY looking for a networked DVR.
Oh God… I am a MORON. I have two Plex servers at my house… and sure enough I had the wrong one selected.
