How to sort lists by file size so I can delete some big files?
Use a program outside of plex that looks at your file system
look I know how file sort by size my ques is how to solve the problem with plex it should be doable!
Plex isn’t a file management program. Its not designed for that, and has no capability to do that. Think of a trying to pound a nail in. You could use your shoe, or a board. But neither of those where designed to do that job. Using a hammer will give you better results.

Not going to get into a measuring contest, but Yes, I am a programmer. My degree is in Software Engineering, and my day job, and hobbies are IT related.
EDIT: I also have programmed quite a bit using the Plex API interface.
The closest you are going to get with Plex is a 3rd party tool Releases · WebTools-NG/WebTools-NG · GitHub that can expose Part Size, you could then use that in something like excel to sort on size.
However, programs like WinDirStat offer a much more usable UI for what you want to do.

I am not a Plex dev, I have just worked with the program quite a bit, and why I dont have a Plex Employee badge on my account. Some questions, such as the one you are asking, they wont bother answering. My suggestion is to use the proper tool for the job. On a Windows Computer, WinDirStat is probably going to be your easiest tool for finding large files.
as video files get larger all the time like 4k content and I have single video you can get 50gb and your trying to maintaiin more and move media it essential that tools like plex make it easier with my content I have 10 tb of data now a way to find bigggest fle of movie or tv show most people using plex to handle tons of files why does the file manager have a sort by file size to help find the biggest files so mant dupe files and they vary in size greatly right now with my download oh but plex dont want help me find big files as my server is shrinking in size all the time there are 11 ways to sort the files hey I sort by watched or unwatched but I cant sort by a most needed function no other function help you get rid of biggest files to saver server space server space it one of the most important function if plex wont do it maybe I get a diffent media player and get rid of plex! every server runs out of space the quickest way should intergrated into the plex server I cant beleive all the changes in plax and they cant sont your library folders by file size!
plex can transcode files why usually to make small file and to can be transcoded to play on no powerful enough hardware but can show your library by file size
