When extra time is added to a recording, if the regularly scheduled time has passed, you cannot find it to watch it while it is in progress. Please add the ability to play a recording in progress from the DVR Schedule tab.
Plex has known about this for well over a year, probably much longer. According to them it’s not a high priority issue.
Yes, I see how it can be a low priority because normally a recording would not be extended very long. My use case is for sporting events where I always add 1 hour. It would be nice that Plex could get real-time feedback from the providers when events run longer. But, that’s a tall ask. For now, I’ll just have to accept the fact that I can start watching while it’s still being aired, or I have to wait for the recording to complete.
Use tvheadend as the backend. Use tvheadend to record.
Tvheadend + Plex is a PERFECT combo.
