How to write a custom filter

How can I write a custom filter for my content, such as:

  • Recently Released
  • Recently Added
  • Recently Viewed



    any hint?

Not really sure about your question. Do you want this In Media Manager, or Plex itself. And isn’t this already in v9 and v8.5? What version are you using?

  • Plex 9
  • Filter inside of Plex. When I go to my movies, I have a new page where I can select “Recently Released”, “Recently Added”, “Recently Viewed” and more. I like to have an additional filter.

    Yes, but I like to have another one:

    “Available Movies”

    Show all movies that are currently available. A movie can be unavailable cause of:
  • detached S-ATA / USB harddrive
  • unavailable samba share



    I like to have this filter to handle external data sources.
