I was looking to start using a custom filter, following the KB: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200392126-using-the-library-view/
But when i drop down the filter, i only see a advanced filter, not a custom filter. Can anyone help me understand how to enable a custom filter?
My use case is a filter that is all unwatched where label is not equal to IDC.

Ahh okay. I will need to go play with that then. It looks like I have to save that as it looks like i have to save that as a collection or playlist, rather than the user just having a filter.
You can use an advanced filter to create a smart or regular playlist and collection (e.g. if you frequently want to revisit the same filter)… but you can also just use them to filter the particular library (“on the go”)
Thank you. The goal i had was looking for a way for a user to only see shows they care about. Such as Shows I care about vs shows my wife cares about.
Give your wife a separate (managed or regular) account, assign labels to the shows she likes and only share those with her account.
