Server Version#: 1.25.6.5577
My plex server log is littered with warnings like the following.
Mar 13, 2022 00:40:54.190 [3176] WARN - [HttpClient] HTTP error requesting GET https://plex.tv/api/v2/user/privacy?X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxficate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'plex.tv')
Mar 13, 2022 08:08:23.313 [3176] WARN - [HttpClient] HTTP error requesting GET https://plex.tv/api/v2/release_channels?X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxficate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'plex.tv')
Obviously nothing that relies on accessing plex.tv (automatic updates, signing into the server, etc) is working.
This has been going on for a while, but I only just investigated. I tried manually upgrading to 1.25.6.5577. But this did not help. Before this issue occurred, everything was working well for years.
The issue is similar to the one described here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/203841316-plex-media-server-can-t-sign-in-to-plex-account-or-be-claimed/
However, the time on the server is correct, & there is no security software. Also, nothing has changed on the windows server. Plus the exact error is different.
https://plex.tv loads just fine (with no certificate errors) on a browser on the server. But I believe Plex has its own trusted certificates etc & does not use Windows for this.
Assuming no one recognises this issue, is there a way for me to somehow reset my Plex server certificate store etc? Or perhaps some way to force it to ignore SSL errors for plex.tv?
Thanks!
