I am unable to add all the seasons of a TV show to plex

I added a folder containing all 11 seasons of the show(still ripping the 12th), but plex added only 3 seasons. I then added all the folders individually, and the same thing happened. All the shows are named correctly. help.

Assume the folder and file names are
TV Show/Season 01/title - S01E01
TV Show/Season 02/title - S02E01

Etc?

Yes they do. I double-checked all the seasons’ episodes.

No need to add individual shows or even season folders individually. If properly named, you should only need to add the top-level “tv-shows” folder that contains the folders of each individual show.

As for the episodes not showing up:

  1. can you filter your library for duplicate episodes to see if Plex might have merged them?
  2. can you share a specific example of how you named/organized those files (from the level of the folder added to the Plex library

I am a bit new to plex. How can I filter. Sorry for being dumb

Here is the name of the files and folders: https://pastebin.com/Jgva48ee

That naming is VERY wrong to use one example:
Your naming: The.Big.Bang.Theory.S08E15.1080p.BluRay.REMUX.mkv
Should be: The Big Bang Theory - S08E15.- [1080p BluRay REMUX].mkv

Note the lack of extraneous periods and placing the junk Plex should ignore in square brackets.

Fix your naming and I bet Plex finds everything with little problem.

That naming should work fine though, there is definitely something else wrong here.

It’s not that dramatic. I expect it to work beautifully.

I’d rather check the folder which as been set in Plex as the library’s root.

And of course whether all those missing files are actually valid video files, by playing them in a regular desktop video player.

If this is not a Windows-based Plex server, verifying access permissions is also recommended.

Hmm. It is windows based, and now I have another problem. the libraries will not load LMFAO. I am assuming this is not a problem with access permissions because I have never had a problem like this.

How is your TV folder structured and what path is added to your library in Plex?

I have a folder called “The Big Bang Theory” with all the season folders. That is what is added.

You should have a folder structure something like this:

/media/TV
  /The Big Bang Theory
    /Season 01
      ....
    /Season 02
      ....

Then the library should point to /media/TV, is that similar to yours?

yep. that is what mine looks like. Though the path is a bit different because I use cloud storage and raidrive(legal). I think plex pass will fix the issue(it is worth a try  )

Please double check that. I have movie library like Movies/A/American Beauty (0000) and the movie agent thankfully let me point it to Movies.
On the other hand, Plex Tv Shows scanner does not allow that.
So edit your library and make sure the Added folder is pointing to the directory right before the directory of the tv shows.
So if you have this:
/media/tv/big bang theory/season 08
The added folder must be:
/media/tv

The folder I have added is /media/tv/The Big Bang Theory/

Then change it to /media/tv
